Brightlands,

Dulwich Village

Description – Burke Hunter Adams is appointed in a combined QS, PM and CA role, providing a fully integrated service across all project stages. Brightlands is a Grade II listed building undergoing redevelopment to provide a high-quality residential scheme, combining refurbishment of the existing structure with new-build housing.

The project faces several interconnected challenges characteristic of heritage-led schemes, including operating within the strict constraints of a listed building, carefully retaining and protecting historic fabric while adapting the structure for modern residential use, navigating complex planning and listed building consent processes, embedding sustainability objectives within an existing and often inflexible structure, and managing cost and programme risks, particularly during the early stages of construction.

Brightlands project demonstrates the value of an integrated consultancy approach on complex heritage projects.  By aligning cost, programme and contract administration, the project is well positioned for successful delivery through construction and completion.
